    You certainly can’t get these from Toys R Us! The hideous deluge of plastic toys began with Barbie in 1959 – the joy of hand carved wooden toys can never be replicated in plastic. Toys these days, have a serious charm deficiency. What’s the alternative? Make your own!

    I’m with you, Deirdre! Handmade, home made toys are the most unique and imaginative. Encourage kids to make their own too!
