It was two and a half years ago that I had tittery jitters about starting work on the images, and now the book is finally out in the world. Of all the books I have done, this is one of the ones I am most pleased with. It deals with the difficult subject of loss, but really it is a book about the indelible mark love makes on our hearts.

I predict this beautiful book will reach a lot of children (and parents) who are feeling the heartbreak of losing a beloved pet, Margaret. You and Julie have every right to be proud of it. Congratulations!
I won’t be able to make the launch, but this sweet beauty will soon be part of my home. Congratulations, Julie and Margaret! I’m finishing up a book on loss and love called, Old Pearl that comes out in 2021. I bet Lily and Pearl will be the best of friends, sitting in any child’s lap.
